[Maine-NPs] Samples Letters to US Congress

Dear Maine Nurse Practitioners ~

Attached are several sample letters and fact sheets from the American  
Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).  Please take a moment to review  
and send letters to our congress people and senators in Washington DC.

If you only have time to write one letter, please write one to Senator  
Collins regarding the Medicare Home Health issue.  We will be meeting  
with Senator Collins on June 11th to discuss this further as she has  
drafted a bill allowing us to refer patients to home health. She is  
looking for examples on how the current situation is affecting our  
ability to practice in Maine.  If you could write a letter describing  
how this affects your practice, this would be very helpful.  If this  
issue does not affect you directly, please write a letter of support  
anyway, to help the rest of us in the U.S.

Our goal is to make this change happen this year!
