Well-established Nurse Practitioner practice on beautiful Peaks Island 
(twenty-minute boat ride from downtown Portland) seeks an independent 
nurse practitioner to assume the practice by March, 2008, when our 
current provider leaves.

Current provider works 16 hours per week (with off-island physician 
support as needed) to provide family-oriented health care to a 
population ranging from 800 residents in the winter to 4,000 residents 
and visitors in the summer. An active Island Health Center Board 
supports the practice and its provider by
? paying all expenses for the new facility and its upkeep,
? providing a monthly stipend to support staff salaries,
? providing support for the purchase of needed equipment,
? paying for transportation and parking on the mainland as needed,
? paying for malpractice coverage and continuing education.
