[Maine-NPs] S-CHIP

President George W. Bush, who was raised a child of privilege has vetoed the
renewal of the S-CHIP Program that provides health care for children of low
income families who are not eligible for Medicaid. Many members of the House
and Senate are supporting a bipartisan attempt to override the veto. Our
Members of Congress, plan to support this over ride. I encourage each of you
to write to Senators Snow and Collins and Representatives Michaud and Allen
to thank them for their support of this override. By providing health care
for children today, we are decreasing health care costs in the future while
preserving the health of our future leaders.
