[NP-Clinical] MD only site

Doesn't everyone think that we as NP's should send letters to sermo, telling them we are valuable medical professionals that need and utilize the same resources physicians do?  That we also treat the same patients and the same medical conditions?  Maybe it is time some of these organizations that discriminate against NP's should be pressured and educated on our profession.

I contacted them a few months ago since they sent me an invitation, then didn’t let me join.  They are hoping to open it up to “non-MD’s” but supposedly don’t have the resources yet.  I don’t plan to join as I got a bad vibe from the whole thing.  Why advertise to NP’s as a teaser just to say, “You’re not valuable enough for us”.

I saw this on the AANP newsbrief. Seems to be a place where only MDs and DOs are allowed. They are wait-listing non-MDs, so I signed up, maybe they will be open to more of us if we bombard them with requests??
