Hey guys.

In know my last posting was about hematuria also
..how about the woman with
u/a showing NEG blood, the micro showing HIGH RBC’s and negative cytology.
What to do, if anything with that one?

Also, does anyone know about Colonoscopy prep? I had a patient ask me the
morning of her colonoscopy if she should take her BP and insulin. My
collaborating MD said not to take anything. I was going to tell her to take
the BP med, ½ dose of her nightly Lantus and NO Novalog. The GI doc
deferred to us
.so he obviously was clueless. Is there a certain accepted
protocol with meds (like when to start stop plavix and ASA and insulin
dosing) for colonoscopy prep??

Thanks and have a happy Friday!

Rebecca (whose collaborating MD and wife are coming to baby sit our three
kids so we can go celebrate our 8th Anniversary this weekend!)
