In our VA Spinal Cord Injury Center the Colonoscopy prep is a total of 10 days, usually requiring inpt admission for the last 3-5 days. Diet and medication restriction starts 10 days before the exam, the actual prep starts 3 days before and is as follows:
3 days before procedure: Dulcolax laxative plus regular bowel program
2 days before procedure: Go-lytely plus regular bowel program
1 day before procedure: Go-Lytely plus Mg Citrate, plus regular bowel program
Day of procedure: Fleets enema
Despite all of this, a large number of our patients are still insufficiently cleaned out and the test (and repeat prep) has to be repeated. Thank goodness the patients only need to have this done every 5-10 years!

That IS hysterical and creates quite the visual. I can just see some kids out there trying this for Jackass Movie. What a gas. Hope no one will come to blows over this discussion. Like our past Secretary of State, Colon POW!
You could also create a topical laxative in deodorant bottle that you insert rectally and call it Roll-on Colon. Instead of Lo-Motil, it could be called Turbo or Turdo-Motil. Or instead of Vinaigrette, Vine-grip or Vineg-RIP. How about Number 2 squared.

I always thought the name was curious, as there is nothing "light" about it--it's coming out almost before you finish drinking it!
I have my own idea for a bowel prep. Remember those commercials promising "gentle overnight relief"? This is none of those. It is, however, predictable.
It will come as a prepackaged 2 part kit:
Part 1: Sodium Bicarb and water solution you drink
Part 2: Acetic acid (i.e., vinegar) enema
When they meet in the middle, it's sort of like that volcano you built in 7th grade science class.
I'm gonna name it "KABOOM!"
Results guaranteed or your money back!
Andy ;)
Just kidding! Don't any of you lurkers out there go and try this!
