[NP-Clinical] intact hymen

Dear List,

I have had two patients recently with intact hymens, both were trying very hard to overcome the problem but having intercourse  was too painful.  

The only solution I know is to refer patients to gyn's for a hymenectomy.  However, the literature always seems to suggest this is not a optimal solution without more detail.  

Does anyone have other information or suggestions about this troublesome problem??
