Agree with Dena that Afrin can be key. Just make sure to educate the pt not
to use for longer than 3 days due to risk of rebound congestion. I "cheated"
one time with a bad cold/sinus infection and used for 7 days and had some of
the worst congestion of my life when I tried to d/c it!

Any miracle treatment for these pts with chronic plugged ear - Eustachian
tube dysfunction, after a URI? I see several of these a week and always just
advise Guafenison 400- 600 BID and Sudafed. Any other ideas? I have one lady
that is driving me nuts and the TM looks perfect - just this clogged feeling
with some popping.
