[NP-Clinical] DEA#

Hi everyone,
    Just wondering how long it has been taking people's DEA renewals to 
go through. Mine expired 12/31/06. The DEA sent a reminder/renewal forms 
that were forwarded to me by my old employer the 1st week in December. I 
submitted it to my current employer who sent it in via snail mail 
instead of doing it online. I guess they sent by mail 12/10/06.
    Had I known it was going to be such a process I would have done it 
online on my own credit card and submitted it to the practice for 
reimbursement. Just so darn expensive! Unfortunately being in between 
jobs, my old employer wasn't going to pay and I was waiting to start the 
new job, then the holidays, etc. Please let me know what your 
experiences have been for renewal. Thanks in advance.

P.S. The new job is GREAT! And my nightmares with that other witch are 
over!! I did follow your advice, but my tongue, and left on great terms. 
Now the patients are following me. It feels good to have left with my 
dignity intact.
