Did you get a skeletal survey?  Need to look at the bones for lesions before
can say it is MGUS.  Will also need a bone marrow bx to determine the amount
of plasma cells.  Other blood studies will be done to stage his disease.
Will need referral to hematologist for full work-up.  However, you can get
the skeletal survey (not bone scan) ahead of time.

Well, of course I wouldn't say anything to my husband....
 
I also want to say that I think I over-reacted a bit with more study.  It
looks like it's probably MGUS and something they'll just be watching.  I
think I was responding to what I learned yesterday about my other patient.
Anyway, we'll get him to the right people and go from there.
