Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care, Heart
Methodist Healthcare
San Antonio, Texas

Responsibilities include:
* Functioning independently in lieu of the 
physician and collaboratively as an expert clinician,
educator, consultant, researcher and leader in nursing practice.
* Initiating medical aspects of care under 
protocols jointly developed with the Program
Director or designee and is responsible to 
him/her for the specific program/area of practice.

To qualify, candidates should possess:
* Master’s degree in Nursing, certification as an 
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
* Minimum of three years of nursing experience in 
cardiovascular/congestive heart failure
preferred, but not required.
* Solid base of clinical experience and be highly 
motivated and energetic, accustomed to
working independently and taking initiative.
* Current license as a professional registered nurse in the State of Texas.
* Current recognition as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Texas.
* Current Prescriptive authority in the State of 
Texas (BNE prescriptive ID, DPS and DEA).
