Medical Center of Plano is a 427-bed acute care hospital located just 
north of Dallas, Texas.
We are the only hospital in Texas to have achieved Magnet Recognition 
by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center and and to have received the TNA Nurse Friendly 
award. In 2004, we
became the first hospital in Texas to participate in the American 
Stroke Association's "Get with
the Guidelines" stroke initiative. Last year, we became the first 
hospital in our county to receive
the JCAHO Gold Seal of Approval as a Primary Stroke Center.

We are currently recruiting for a Neurological Acute Nurse 
Practitioner to provide comprehensive
health assessment, diagnosis and treatment of individuals with 
potential or actual neurological
or neurospinal health needs. Clinical decisions are formulated in 
consultation and collaboration
  with attending physicians. The Neuro Nurse Practitioner is 
additionally involved in education,
  consultation, performance improvement and research. Qualified 
candidates will have at least
5 years of experience in critical care nursing with a focus on 
neurological and neurospinal
patients. Two years of nurse practitioner experience is preferred.
