Title: Nurse Practitioner (Advanced)
Location: Corporate Headquarters - Newark NJ (0014)
Job Function: Human Resources

Acts as team leader and primary medical decision maker during field 
site visits to provide
medical exams during the Spring and Fall each year. Oversees the 
performance of all
regulated medical testing, respirator fit testing and examines 
employees with medical issues
identified during screenings. This may include follow-up examinations 
and/or require
performance and interpretation of functional capacity evaluations and 
independent medical
evaluations. Conducts return to work exams and medical job 
suitability evaluations on
worker's in safety sensitive positions to determine their ability to 
return to work safely.
Performs Commercial Drivers License (CDL) exams. Conducts a number of 
tests including:
respirator fit testing, alcohol breath testing, drug testing, 
specimen collection and audiograms
in accordance with all federal and state laws. Provides medical 
treatment (including the use
of prescription drugs and ordering of medical tests) for certain work 
related and non-work
related illness and injuries. This includes preventive services 
(e.g., elevated lipids, blood
pressure.) responsible for an executive physical program that would 
include performance of
examinations and review of medical data, exam findings, and 
recommendations with
executives. Maintains and applies working knowledge of PSEG standards 
for Business
Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal 
business controls.

Essential: Certifications to practice as a nurse 
practitioner/clinical nurse specialist in
accordance with N.J. Board of Nursing Statutes and Regulations in an 
appropriate advanced
practice category (Adult, Family, or Community Health); experience 
supervising professional
and technical staff in a fast paced environment; experience 
interpreting regulations and
developing policies and procedures; demonstrated excellent written 
and oral communication
skills; and a working knowledge of various database, spreadsheet and 
word processing
software (preferably Lotus Notes, Excel and Microsoft Word.)

Desired: Certification in ACLS/AED, Breath Alcohol Testing, Audio 
logic Testing, DOT
Specimen collection, Pulmonary Function Testing, and Respirator Fit Testing.
