and U.S. News & World Report, this full-service tertiary and
quaternary care hospital inclusive
of a :
- 50+ Bed Level II/III NICU has 9 Attendings, 10 NNPs & 6 Fellows.
- 800+ admissions/year from southeast and worldwide.
- ECMO, HFV and inhaled nitric oxide are utilized with the focus on
extremely low birth weight
patients and their families.
- Affiliated with its very own NNP school, whose students frequent
the Level III and are
preceptored by the hospital NNP/MD staff.
NNPs assist with coordination of unit-based committees and projects
and provide clinical
leadership at the bedside and exhibit Shared Governance/Leadership.
Staff driven committees:
Bereavement Clinical Practice Developmental, Family Centered Care,
Parent Education,
Scheduling Staff Education, Peer Review Board, Skin/Wound Care Team,
PICC Line Team
lead by NNPs and composed entirely of staff nurses. Much of the staff
are active in AACN,
AWHONN, NANN, TriANN, Sigma Theta Tau holding multiple leadership
positions in these
organizations and are frequent presenters at local, regional and
national conferences and
are considered some of the elite practitioners in the country.
Applicants must be experienced, Masters prepared and NCC certified.
