Medical Consultant to IRB

Quorum Review, an accredited independent Institutional Review Board 
(IRB) and a leader in
the industry for its services in overseeing research participant 
safety is seeking a Medical
Consultant to support the IRB in the pre-review of protocols and 
other study materials
submitted for review. Quorum is the second largest independent review 
board in the country
and works with investigators from across the nation.

Primary responsibilities will include assisting the IRB in:

* Providing professional medical expertise and opinion in the 
pre-review of protocols and
other study materials as submitted for full Board or expedited review.

* Providing independent medical judgment and opinion in the review of 
submitted requests
for changes in research in accordance with established regulations, 
policy, and guidelines.

* Providing necessary medical background information to the Board to 
assist their review.

Qualified candidates must possess either a medical degree and license 
with 5+ years of
experience in medical practice, or a masters in nursing and a nurse 
practitioners license with
5+ years of experience. Qualified candidates will have practical 
experience in a clinical
research or biotechnology, medical device, or pharmaceutical setting. 
The ideal candidate will
possess 3+ years of experience with regulatory compliance, and proven 
project management
and interpersonal skills.

This position offers flexibility and may be regular part time (20 
hours per week) or full time (40
hours per week) depending on candidate's availability.
