Minnesota - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Position                (posted) 10-29-07
================================================================
NP or PA Neonatal

Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, seeks candidates
for the position of Neonatal Nurse
Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant – Neonatal
as part of a new initiative in this specialty field.
The Department of Pediatrics and the Division of
Neonatology are excited about the
establishment of this practitioner program.
Newborn services at Mayo are a truly collaborative
effort, and the addition of practitioners’
expertise will benefit our patients and clinical staff alike.
Through opportunities in education and research,
each practitioner will have the chance to
build and mold the program as it continues to
grow. The selected candidate will provide daily
management of newborns in the Level II Nursery
and resuscitation/support of high-risk
newborns in the delivery room at Rochester
Methodist; future plans call for rotation in the
Level III NICU at Saint Mary’s Hospital.

Applicants must be either a Master’s-prepared
graduate of an accredited school of nursing
and Nurse Practitioner program, with current MN
RN license and NNP certification (or
eligibility); or a graduate of an accredited PA
program with current NCCPA certification and
Minnesota State Board registration, with neonatal
experience. BLS certification is required;
clinical experience with high-risk newborns or
Level III nursery is highly desirable.

Mayo Clinic, one of Fortune magazine’s "100 Best
Companies to Work For," offers an excellent
salary and benefits package. To apply, or learn
