GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Primary duties – Clinical: Provide treatment 
and/or care guidelines in a clinical setting for
injuries, illnesses and emergencies.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Provide primary care for industrial injuries and illnesses at the workplace.
* Evaluate/treat/refer non-industrial injuries 
and illnesses as clinic utilization permits.
* Examine and assess employees as required by 
company, state and federal mandated
policy.
* Order tests, therapies and medication as necessary for patient care.
* Review results of all tests performed on 
employees in cases identified above.
* Counsel and mediate potential violence in the workplace.
* Assure standards of BBP are held.
* Interface with other healthcare professionals, 
management and outside agents.
* Maintain detailed 
documentation/reports/files/records/inventory according to requirements
set forth.
* Provide assistance on special project needs.
* Make physician supervisor aware of all 
standardized NP processes and how they are
handled.
* Perform functions within the guidelines of the 
NP protocol and approved by the physician
supervisor.
* Provide team leadership duties as needed.

* Knowledge of worker’s compensation laws and regulations
* Knowledge of ADA and disability standards
* Operate patient-care equipment and interpret results accurately
* Provide emergency care
* Dispense and administer medication

* Documentation – accurate, thorough reporting and notations
* Communication – communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
* Customer orientation – establishes and 
maintains long-term client relationships
* Interpersonal skills – able to work effectively 
with coworkers, client employees and external
parties
* Self Motivation – demonstrates proficiency to set and achieve goals
* PC skills – demonstrates proficiency in PC applications as required
* Policies & Procedures – demonstrates knowledge 
and understanding of organizational
policies, procedures and systems.
* Basic skills – able to spell correctly, 
punctuate properly and perform basic mathematical
calculations
* Appearance – maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance
* Interact with all levels of company employees 
and it’s agents in a professional manner
* Professional and helpful attitude while dealing 
with all clinical services and needs
* Work in cooperation with hospital departments and physicians and staff

EDUCATION:
College degree – BSN, MSN

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1-2 years clinical experience in occupational medicine

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
RN, NP licenses
DEA registration
BLS & AED certification
