Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Licensed Midwife
Reports to: Medical Director(s), Clinic Administrator
Supervises: Medical Assistants

Position Function: Under the direct supervision of the Medical 
Director(s) and the Clinic
Administrator, within the established scope of practice for the 
classification as established
by law, the nurse practitioner, physician assistant and/or midwife 
performs direct patient care
as established in accordance with the standardized policies and 
procedures outlined in
policy and procedures manual.

Duties of the Position: Perform complete physical examinations on all 
first appointment OB
patients and documents findings on the patient record. Initial OB 
exams, Provide on-going
follow-up prenatal care., Follow-up visits include assessment of 
weight, blood pressure,
urine testing for protein and sugar and measurement of fetal growth 
and heart rate. Perform
Post Partum exams following approved protocols. Conduct routine GYN 
exams in accordance
with approved protocols. Perform other indirect patient care duties.
