Provide mid-level practitioner services to geriatric population in 
sub-acute skilled nursing
facility (SNF) stays and residential care. Perform in-depth physical 
assessment and
management of illnesses or conditions within the ARNP scope of practice and in
collaboration with MD, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team 
members. May
diagnose and manage acute episodic and chronic health problems independently.

Experience requirements
Minimum: Geriatric clinical experience in acute and chronic health problems.
Preferred: Geriatric or long-term care experience as a Nurse Practitioner.

Knowledge requirements
Minimum: None
Preferred: Expanded prescriptive authority for Schedule II-IV medications.

Education requirements
Minimum: Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited school of 
nursing. Certified Wound
Care Nurse within one year.
Preferred: None

Certification requirements
Minimum: Washington State RN and ARNP license. ANCC certification as 
Family Nurse
Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner or Geriatric Nurse 
Practitioner. Prescriptive authority.
BLS/CPR certification.
Preferred: None
