DAY POSITION!! NO NIGHTS!! A WELL KNOWN HOSPITAL WITH A 84-BED LEVEL 
II/III NICU
needs a NNP for the 44-bed Level II step down unit only. 10-hour day 
shift starting at 7am. Some
weekend work, but no nights. The NNP works on a team in collaboration 
with a Neonatologist,
and examines and writes daily notes/orders for the patients on that 
team. The NNP may
accompany a patient off unit for procedures such as CT scan. MRI etc. 
In addition, the NNP is an
active member in discharge planning; setting up referrals; being a 
resource for the parents and
nurses. The NNP also provides parent and staff education. The patient 
population consists of
babies who are feeder/growers and those who are learning to eat. 
There are also patients with
chronic diseases and surgical patients who need to remain in the 
Level II typically for about 9
months. EXPERIENCED MSN NCC CERTIFIED CANDIDATES ONLY. The NNP can 
also pick up
additional shifts in the Level III NICU in addition to the Level II 
if desired.
