Are you interested in working with cross-cultural populations? We are 
looking for an Advance
Register Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), Physicians Assistant or 
Psychiatrist to work 1 to 2 days per
week with refugees and immigrants in our International Community 
Services Program primarily
located in SeaTac.

Essential responsibilities include: In cooperation with the 
counselor/case manager and primary
care physician performs direct psychiatric functions: assessment and 
diagnosis of new clients;
prescribe psychiatric medications; medication monitoring; 
consultation with other ICCS staff
and case managers regarding client care; coordinates referrals to 
other care providers;
performs or assists in crisis intervention. Ensures client paperwork 
is accurate and up to date.
Provide in-service education and consultation to ICCS staff, as requested.

In order to meet the requirements for this position, the individual 
must be a licensed prescriber,
and have experience in psychiatric medicine, preferably in community 
mental health settings.
Knowledge of major psychiatric disorders including post-traumatic 
stress disorder;
psychotropic medications including indications, contraindications, 
dosages and treatment of
side effects. Must have assessment skills necessary for prescribing 
and monitoring
psychotropic medication, and basic physical assessment skills 
necessary for appropriate
referral of clients to medical providers. The ability to work across 
cultures and to accept different
world views required.

Compensation: Depending on education and experience. Independent 
Contractors may also be
considered.
