Connecticut - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

A LEVEL I FAMILY BIRTHING CENTER WITH A NEW FACILITY with private 
rooms needs one
additional EXPERIENCED NNP to work one 24 hour shift per week. (This 
can be broken down
into two 12 hour shifts if necessary.) Weekend and holiday shifts are 
available, but not
mandatory. The hospital can be very flexible with schedule. This is a 
position for a very
experienced NNP who can work independently as there are no in-house 
Neonatologists;
however, Neonatologists are available for consultation and backup 
from a tertiary care center.
The NNPs provide patient management for babies over 34 weeks; babies 
under 34 weeks are
stabilized by the NNPs for transport to a Level III NICU by that 
hospital's transport team. The
NNPs also attend deliveries; take care of some of the well baby 
service; provide in-services and
other staff education. This is an hourly position with shift 
differentials. Salary is based upon
experience. This position is also eligible for hospital benefits.
