Job Description:
As an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the 
Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery department at
UT Southwestern Medical Center, you’ll be 
responsible for admissions, H&Ps, rounding on
patients, education, discharge planning and 
dictations. Must have a strong CV clinical
background, excellent time management skills, 
strong people skills and the ability to work in a
collaborative environment. Good communication skills are essential.

Job Requirements:
Requires a master’s degree from an accredited 
nurse practitioner program and at least 3 years
as a registered nurse in a related field; at 
least 1 year of nurse practitioner experience preferred.
Must also have prescriptive authority, current TX 
license with recognition by BON as an advanced
practice nurse and national nurse practitioner certification in Acute Care.
