Nurse Practitioner - Senior Services

Summa Health System is currently searching for a Nurse Practitioner 
specializing in Geriatric
Psych. In this position, one would work collaboratively with the 
Gero-Psychiatrist and
Geriatricians to evaluate and manage the older adult with mental 
health problems including
behavior problems in patients with dementia. Evaluations may be 
performed in the Center for
Senior Health, in the hospital (Akron City/St Thomas), in a nursing 
facility or in the patient's
home.

Qualifications will require completion of Nurse Practitioner program 
in Geriatrics, Adult or other
field of study and certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a 
nationally recognized accrediting
body. One must possess a current license to practice Nursing in the 
State of Ohio, current
Certificate of Authority with Certificate to prescribe or eligibility 
to apply for prescriptive privileges
within 6 months of hire. One year of nursing experience is required 
and one year experience as
a Nurse Practitioner in Geriatrics is desired.
