ARNP/PA - Trauma Practitioner

(4) TEN HOUR SHIFT - DAYS

Bayfront Medical Center's extensive commitment to emergency medicine
includes a 24-hour emergency department, a state-accredited Level II Adult
and Pediatric Trauma Center - the only trauma center in Pinellas County -
and Bayflite medical helicopters (an internationally recognized air
medical flight program serving the west central Florida region).
Bayfront's emergency department annually treats approximately 50,000
patients, with nearly 2,600 of those being critically injured trauma
patients. Bayfront's emergency facilities provide specialized areas for
the care of women and children, cardiac isolation monitoring, chest pain,
trauma bays and Fast Track for urgent cases. Currently, we are seeking an
experienced Trauma Practitioner.

The candidate will Deliver advanced care to patients who are acutely and
critically ill in a variety of settings across the acute care continuum.
Collaborates with appropriate members of the health care team to:
evaluates and provides needed services for the patients, ensures
coordination of patient care along the health care continuum in
conjunction with Trauma surgeons and other healthcare team members, works
interdependently with trauma surgeon staff in the provision of patient
care. Ensures the patient outcomes are achieved, and ensures the variances
from established parameters are evaluated and addressed. Communication
with trauma patients and families regarding plan of care.

Job Requirements:
MSN, ARNP or Physicians Assistant. Current Florida RN/ARNP/PA. 5-10 yrs
recent experience in ICU or ED trauma center. Must have effective
communication, critical thinking, decision making, strong clinical, and
strong interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills.
