The Nurse Practitioner will join an established provider group of 3
Cardiologists (including 2 Interventional Cardiologists), working with
RN’s, Cardio Techs, Echo Techs and support staff to serve patients in our
Cardiology Clinic and within Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

The responsibilities for this position will include:  clinic follow up
appointments with established Cardiology patients; following up patients
post Cath Lab procedures; rounding on inpatients in ICU; writing discharge
orders; monitoring stress tests for Nuclear Medicine patients and
treadmills; interrogating pacemakers (Medtronic, Boston Scientific and St.
Judes); first responder to Emergency Department consults.

Qualifications:
1. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Alaska; current nurse practitioner
with certification in specialty area in the state of practice.
2. Requires skill level typically achieved with 3-5 years of clinical
expertise working with the specific patient population in the patient care
area or clinic.
3. Demonstrates or will acquire proficiency in computer usage, i.e. word
processing, charting, data analysis and literature searches.
4. Requires ability to communicate effectively with others.
5. Exhibits a high degree of professional demeanor and interpersonal
relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Cardiology, Critical Care or Emergency Room experience preferred.
2. Familiarity with cardiology therapies, medication, signs and symptoms
of cardiology illnesses preferred.
