Nurse Practitioner (#13915)

Medical Units
Advanced Practice RN – Clinical Nurse Specialist (#14000)

Provide direct and indirect patient care for a 
specific population including assessment,
diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, 
implementation and evaluation. Integrate
education, research, management, leadership, and 
consultation into clinical roles. Function in
collegial relationships with members of the health care team.

Successful completion of a formal nationally 
accredited educational program for Physician
Assistants or Nurse Practitioners required. 
Experience in a directly relevant setting preferred.
Master's of Science degree required and a minimum 
of 5 years clinic nursing experience
preferred for Nurse Practitioner positions.

DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of state and federal
regulations. Strong interpersonal and written 
communication skills. Critical thinking skills
based on research and evidence-based outcomes, 
and Standards of Practice. Expertise in
clinical skills related to the patient population 
being served. Competency in decision-making for
emergent situations. Competency in the management 
of critical patient situations. Knowledge
of how to access and utilize available resources. 
Knowledge of system policies and procedures.
Demonstrate patient advocacy which ensures 
patient's rights to privacy, safety, and confidentiality.
