We are currently looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse 
Practitioner to fill the role of a
Pre-Operative Evaluation Center Manager. This position reports to the 
Assistant Administrator,
Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine.

Responsibilities:
* Managing the daily operations of the Pre-operative Evaluation and 
Documentation Centers in
the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center, and the Pre-operative 
Evaluation  Center in the Wilmer
Eye Center
* Updating equipment through the major and minor capital request processes
* Ensuring the maintenance of professional standards as outlined and 
required by the Medical
Director, the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of 
Healthcare  Organizations (JCAHO), the
Maryland Board of Nursing, and Physicians Board of Quality Assurance 
(BPQA) for the State of
Maryland
* Collaborating with the Medical Director to assure quality and to 
develop and manage new
programs as needed
* Functioning as a Pre-operative Evaluation Center practitioner as 
dictated by patient volumes

Requirements:
* Board certified by the National Commission on Certification of 
Physician Assistants or
Registered/certified by the Maryland Board of Quality Assurance or 
certified as a Nurse
Practitioner with current registered nurse licensure by the State of Maryland
* Three years clinical experience related to the Pre-operative 
evaluation process or anesthesia/
operating room management
