The Swedish Neuroscience Institute, part of the largest non-profit

to ensuring stroke victims quickly receive the highest quality of care 
using the most advanced
technology and treatments.
We are excited to announce we are actively recruiting a full time Nurse 
Practitioner. The Stroke Nurse
Practitioner facilitates the delivery of quality, evidenced-based 
patient care, while promoting efficiency
and effective patient outcomes. The Stroke Nurse Practitioner is 
expected to impact clinical practice
as a clinical expert in the Stroke Service Line. He/she will serve as a 
role model to the clinical/medical
staff and ancillary services. They will work with their respective 
collaborative physicians to provide
quality cost effective care. He/she has responsibility for clinical 
practice, research, education, and
leadership activities. Primary responsibilities will include:


*Performs a neurological assessment, obtains history, chief complaint, 
and present illness in order
to determine patient and family needs.

*Communicates with Stroke Team and other medical staff to implement 
patient plan of care.

*Conducts and interprets diagnostic tests.

A Master's Degree in Nursing is required. A current WA State Medical RN, 
AP License and Federal
DEA Registration are also required. A competitive candidate will have a 
minimum of 3 years of ARNP
experience in a General Neurology/Stroke setting.
