Nurse Practitioner - Trauma

The Trauma Center at Miami Valley Hospital provides care for the most
seriously injured patients in 17 counties in southwest Ohio and east
Indiana 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In 2010, approximately 3,300
trauma cases were treated, making MVH Trauma Center one of the busiest and
most experienced in the state. Trauma is its own distinct specialty within
the hospital, but it is closely integrated with the MVH Emergency
Department (ED) and all the other disciplines that come into contact with
each trauma patient.

As Trauma Nurse Practitioner, you will perform comprehensive assessments;
develop diagnosis and orders; conduct, supervise and interpret diagnostic
tests; and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for
trauma patients. Full-time and part-time (weekends only) positions are
currently available.

Requirements include:
Master’s degree in Nursing
Ohio licensure (or eligibility)
Ohio Certificate of Authority as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing
Certificate to Prescribe
National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner
Current CPR certification
Three years experience in area of Advanced Practice Nursing highly preferred
