Mt Baker Planned Parenthood seeks a full time Nurse Practitioner to provide
reproductive health care and family planning services to men, women, and 
teens
at our Mt. Vernon location.

has the information, services, and freedom to make healthy, responsible 
decisions
about sex, sexuality, and parenthood. Our dedicated staff has been

Essential Job Functions Include:
*Provides non-discriminatory medical service to all patients.
*Counsels patients in a non-directive manner about all available 
pregnancy options
in the case of an unintended pregnancy.
*Refers patients for abortion, prenatal care, and adoption services as 
requested or
necessary.
*Provides accurate education and prescribes all available FDA approved
  contraceptive methods including Emergency Contraception.
*Provides contraceptive care for all prescription and non-prescription 
methods
currently available.
*Assists with pregnancy termination services as requested by the Medical 
Director.
*Instructs patients regarding medications and treatments. Educate patients
regarding health and illness prevention. Refer to community resources as 
needed.

Qualifications
*Current RN and ARNP license
*Current CPR Certification
*Willing to work a flexible schedule including some evening and weekend 
hours.
*Reliable transportation, auto insurance, and driver's license for 
travel between
clinics
*CPR certification
*Bilingual strongly preferred; willing and able to provide care for 
Spanish speaking
patients
*Skill with computers and experience with electronic medical records
*Ability to work effectively as part of team in a fast-paced and dynamic 
workplace
