University of California Irvine is recruiting for five Nurse 
Practitioners II:

Incumbent is accountable for the management and coordination of all 
inpatient
care for the subspecialty surgical services, including Neurosurgery, 
Orthopedic
Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, and Urology. Duties include 
and not
limited to assessing health needs, planning and evaluating care of all 
patients on
the these services as well as patients in the surgical intensive care 
unit. The nurse
practitioner will participate with inpatient sign out at beginning and 
end of shift.
Follows up with the surgical teams/residents/attending physicians. Will 
be involved
in Consultations in the Emergency Department and on the wards. 
Responsibility
for care and organization of procedures (including operations, 
interventional
procedures, etc) and follow-up, inpatient and outpatient tracking, 
follow-up and
referrals, overseeing the scheduling area and discharge patients (including
discharge summary, instructions, and medications) when appropriate. Triage
phone calls. Responsible for the reviewing critical labs, follow-up of 
results with
patient and medical staff, conducting in-depth interviews with patients 
and/or family,
constructing comprehensive medical histories, performing initial and 
periodic
physical examinations, and exploring patient's interpretation of health 
needs. The
NP will demonstrates an advanced level of medical and nursing knowledge, 
clinical/
technical competence, sound clinical judgment, professional 
communication skills,
timely and compliant documentation, and is responsible for professional
development and competency validation.

Salary: Annual Range $97,404 - $131,088
Work Schedule: 12hr nightshift 18:00 -06:00
Career Position.
REQUIRED: Current valid California RN license and NP license. Current 
BLS, ACLS,
CPR certification. Subject to background check. Complete application as 
an Allied
Health Professional with the Medical Staff Administration successfully.
Final candidate subject to background check.
