ARNP or PA – Swedish Gastroenterology

Swedish Medical Group is recruiting for a 
mid-level practitioner to help organize and support a
busy, tertiary inpatient gastroenterology service 
in Seattle. Experience, energy and curiosity are
required attributes.

This is a fulltime position offering competitive 
compensation and comprehensive benefits with
the largest non-profit healthcare system in the 
Pacific Northwest. Work schedule is 40 hours
per week, Mondays-Fridays; NO call or weekend 
responsibilities. Primary focus is managing
an inpatient gastroenterology service with 1-2 
hours per day staffing a continuity clinic in an
outpatient setting for recently discharged 
patients as well as providing urgent consults.

Specific responsibilities include:
*New patient consultation assessment/triage
*Daily rounding on gastroenterology service with 
charting after discussion with the attending
physician
*Writing orders and discharge coordination for 
short-stay/post-procedure patients
*Collaboration with the hospitalist service to 
efficiently coordinate tests and procedures for
patients
*Procedural assistance in complex endoscopy, if desired
*Coordination with transplant and other consulting services
*Patient and family education/continuity

Specialized training and experience in 
gastroenterology is preferred but not required; willing to
train. Additional requirements: licensure, or 
eligible for licensure, as a physician assistant or
advanced registered nurse practitioner in the 
state of Washington; excellent organization,
interpersonal and communication skills.
