Associate Director - Wellness Center Opening at Loyola University Chicago

Duties & Responsibilities:
The Loyola University Chicago Wellness Center is seeking an 
experienced Nurse Practitioner
to serve as a 12 month full-time Associate Director. This position is 
a key member of the
Center's leadership team and will work closely with the director in 
developing and implementing
strategies to improve the wellness of the Loyola community; the 
administration and overall
operation of the Wellness Center; and the supervision and mentorship 
of staff. Critical
responsibilities include: directing the Center's medical service; 
direct supervision of a team of
physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and clinical 
support staff; maintaining a
clinical caseload needed to maintain certification; clinical 
consultation; and representing the
Center on key Divisional teams and committees.

The Wellness Center provides health, health education and counseling 
services using an
interdisciplinary team approach to assist university students in the 
process of becoming
aware of, taking responsibility for, and making choices that directly 
contribute to one's
well-being and that of the common good. The services offered by the 
Wellness Center focus
on the student as well as the student's role in the community.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience:
Minimum qualifications include a Master's Degree in Nursing, national 
certification as a nurse
practitioner; advanced practice license in Illinois/or license 
eligible; 3 years experience as a
nurse practitioner; and 3 years supervisory experience.

Certificates, Credentials or Licenses Required to Perform the Duties 
of this Position:
-National certification as a nurse practitioner
-Advanced practice license in Illinois/or license eligible

Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of three years of supervisory experience. Ability 
to work in a highly
collaborative environment and develop effective relationships within 
the division of Student
Development and with key stakeholders external to the division, 
including but not limited to:
First Year Dean's Office, Judicial Affairs, Information Services, 
Residence Life, and Campus
Safety. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and 
procedure manuals. Ability to
effectively present information and respond to questions from groups 
of students, faculty, staff
and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems within an 
interdisciplinary team.
Sound leadership skills. Commitment to diversity. Ability to develop 
creative solutions.
