*Clinical Nurse Specialist / Clinical Nurse Educator (Critical Care)-
Greater Birmingham, Alabama!*

We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse Specialist / Educator for a well 
respected
general acute care hospital in the greater Birmingham, Alabama area. The
clinician will be responsible for the organization, administration, 
development and
evaluation of educational programs presented to the critical care and 
other clinical
staff throughout the nursing departments. The Provider will maintain 
expert clinical
skills and be willing to contribute to the delivery of nursing care and 
remain current
with the new technologies and evidence based practice guidelines / critical
pathways. The Provider would initiate and maintain competency statements 
for
nursing staff validations in collaboration with nursing directors. The 
Provider must
be willing to teach specific critical care competencies to the staff and 
work with the
physicians on a collaborating basis. The Critical Care CNS / Educator 
would be
reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Provider must have 
an MSN with
an emphasis in critical care nursing preferred. The Provider must have 
ACLS, BLS
and PALS certification. The salary range is very competitive (negotiable 
for the right
candidate) and includes a full benefits package including Medical, 
Dental, 401K
with Match, CME with a CME allowance and generous vacation. Full relocation
