Swedish Surgical Specialists is actively seeking a full time Surgical 
Specialty Nurse
Practitioner to join the program at Swedish's brand new, state of the 
art, Issaquah
Hospital. Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah Highlands is a full service 
community
hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical 
services including
general, colorectal, non-cardiac thoracic, advanced laparoscopic, robotic,
hepatobiliary, oncologic, head & neck, endocrine, reconstructive, and 
breast surgery,
among others. The Team of Midlevel Providers will provide consultative 
services in
both the inpatient and emergency room settings as well as peri-operative 
care for
adult patients with a wide range of surgical conditions.

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for participating in the 
clinical activities to
include performing surgical consults for inpatient and ER patients, 
performing urgent
and emergent procedures (such as central venous access, and tube 
thoracstomy
among others), and working collaboratively with hospitalists, 
intensivists and other
medical specialists in the care of patients. Members of the Team will 
also serve as
first assistants in the operating room for select cases.

A Master's Degree in Nursing is required. A current WA State Medical RN, 
AP and
Federal DEA Registration are also required. A competitive candidate will 
have a
minimum of 3 years of experience working in surgical specialty care, 
primarily in the
inpatient setting. Outpatient experience will also be considered.
