Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac*

Cardiology Associates, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of MedStar Health, 
includes
the area's most experienced and respected cardiologists and vascular 
surgeons.
Currently seeking a PT Cardiac NP to join our practice. Responsible for 
providing
comprehensive/episodic care to our patients.

*Additional responsibilities: *
* Establishes medical diagnoses for common short-term and chronic health
problems and prescribes medication as appropriate.
* Orders and reviews laboratory testing, interprets results, adjusts 
medications,
and contacts patients to effectively monitor and coordinate their care 
as indicated.
* Provides hospital rounding, hospital admission and discharge, 
dictation of
upcoming hospital procedures and electronic hospital medical record 
entry when
assigned.
* Communicates positive laboratory and diagnostic findings to patients and
referring physicians
* Assists physicians in emergent events

*QUALIFICATIONS: *
* Graduate NP program
* Two years experience as a NP & cardiology experience preferred
* Current DC/MD License; CPR; ACLS
