**Child Protection Team -- Nancy J. Cotterman Center **
**Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time 19 hours per week) **
**Salary range - $29.86 - $47.74 per hour*

*NATURE OF WORK *
This is professional nursing care and medical work in the performance of 
general
medical services as provided by Florida Statute, Chapter 464.012.

Under the direction of a physician, performs general medical services in 
clinical
examination and treatment for the Child Protection team at the Sexual 
Assault
Treatment Center. Work includes performing all aspects of nursing and 
health care
services. Employees in this classification exercise medical judgment and 
skill in
the performance of their duties.

*REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: *
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and certified completion 
of an
accredited Nurse Practitioner program; four (4) years of experience in 
general or
family practice, pediatrics, OB-GYN, or other area appropriate to the 
area of
assignment; or any equivalent combination of relevant training and 
experience.

Applicants must be licensed as a registered nurse in the State of 
Florida and
certification as a Nurse Practitioner in advanced or specialized 
pediatrics or family
medicine nursing practice. Applicants must have experience in the 
evaluation and
treatment of child abuse and neglect or agree to receive training deemed
necessary for evaluating abuse and neglect. Applicants must be CMS 
certification
eligible. Position will provide diagnostic evaluations and medical 
consultation
regarding abused and neglected children and be able to provide 
depositions and
court testimony.
