*Diabetic Nurse Specialist, Nutrition Services***

*Basic Purpose Of The Job*
The Diabetic Nurse Specialist performs Diabetes Management and Education 
for
inpatient acute care and TCU patients through assessment, evaluation, 
education,
medication management, planning, organizing, and implementation of care 
plans.
This includes individual education and medication management for 
patients; staff
in-services and collaboration with the Glucose Control Team and 
professionals
throughout Confluence Health.

*Minimum Education*
Master's Degree in Nurse Practitioner program.

*Minimum Work Experience*
2-3 years experience, preferably in an acute healthcare setting, with an 
emphasis
on Diabetes Management and Education.

*Required Licenses/ Certifications*
Certified Diabetes Educator, or is eligible to become a CDE or BC-ADM 
within the
next 12 months with the following credentials: Current Registered Nurse and
ARNP licensure with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.
