*NURSE PRACTITIONER **
Behavioral Health Department * Brooklyn, NY*

This position will be based at *Coney Island Hospital*, which has been 
serving the
southern Brooklyn community since 1875, and today, is Brooklyn's most 
modern
community hospital, known for providing patients with the highest level 
of quality
care.

*Responsibilities include:
* Taking comprehensive health histories
* Performing physical exams and mental status evaluations
* Diagnosing and managing common acute and chronic illness, based on
service protocols and in collaboration with Attending Physicians
* Ordering, reviewing and evaluating lab and other diagnostic tests
* Obtaining and referring appropriate consultations
* Providing counseling and education to patients and their families
* Performing minor procedures such as EKG, IV, Phlebotomy, Injections, NG
Tubes, etc
* Handling other related functions as necessary*

To qualify, you must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, 
have a NY
State RN License, and possess current NYS NP credentials along with 
Certification/
Training in Adult Mental Health.
