*Providence is calling a part-time (24 hr/wk) Family Nurse Practitioner/ 
Certified
Nurse Midwife for an eight-hour day position at Providence St.Vincent 
Medical
Center in Portland, OR*

This position includes working every other weekend. In this position, 
you will work
with post partum women and their infants.

*In this position, you will:*
* Be responsible for evaluating and treating patients within their 
professional scope
of practice and current State of Oregon regulatory statutes.
* Take patient's history, perform physical examinations, diagnosis, and 
develop
therapeutic treatment plans.
* Interpret physical, psychosocial and preventive health data to 
determine patient
needs and problems. Prescribe medications as allowed by scope of 
practice and
pharmacy formulary.
* Treatment plans are implemented through independent action and in 
collaboration
with other members of the health team.

*Required qualifications for this position include:*
* Current Oregon license as a Certified Nurse Midwife or Nurse 
Practitioner with
prescriptive privileges.
* Current BLS for Healthcare workers.
* Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, or obtained 
within six
months of hire.
* Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or 
obtained
within 2 years of hire.
* Five years of experience working as a Nurse Midwife or Nurse 
Practitioner in
Women's Clinic, Family Practice, Pediatric or urgent care facility.
* Must be privileged by Providence St. Vincent Medical Center within 60 
days of hire.

*Preferred qualifications include:*
* Family Nurse Practitioners strongly preferred
* Current IBCLC strongly preferred
* Spanish speakers strongly preferred
