*SUMMARY *
THE HEARTH CENTER FOR EATING DISORDERS, the first residential treatment 
program for
eating disorders in the state of South Carolina is now seeking a Nurse 
Practitioner to join the
multidisciplinary team providing all aspect of nutritional assessment 
and support to
individuals suffering with eating disorders.

The Director will oversee all aspects of nutritional programming and 
development, helping to
establish The Hearth Center for Healing as a valuable resource and 
center of clinical
excellence.

*NURSE PRACTITIONER
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following.

* Organizes data concerning patient’s family, medical history, and onset 
of symptoms
obtained from patient relatives, and other sources such as General Duty 
Nurse, Therapeutic
Counselor and Therapist
* Examines patient to determine general physical condition
* Determines nature and extent of mental disorder, and formulated 
treatment program
* Treats or directs treatment of patient, utilizing a variety of 
psychotherapeutic methods and
medications
* Leads treatment team in the Eating Disorder Program.
* Completes a discharge summary upon client discharge from program
* Determine nature and extent of eating disorder, and assess that the 
patient is in the
appropriate level of care
* Refer patient to other therapists and/or other levels of care, as 
appropriate
* Confer with all referring and other outside professionals
* Review documentation of any incident involving clients
* Work closely with staff in providing behavioral modification services 
to assist clients with
problems of emergency or crisis nature
* Works under the close and regular supervision of a psychiatrist

*EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE *
Licensed APRN in the state of South Carolina. Psychiatric experience 
preferred.
