Columbia University's Myeloma and Amyloidosis Program is seeking a Nurse 
Practitioner who
will be responsible for the assessment and management of outpatients 
primarily with plasma
cell dyscrasias, including diagnostic (e.g. Bone Marrow Biopsies) and 
therapeutic
interventions, under a medical collaborative agreement. S/he will 
complete patient's history
and physical, review laboratory results and order appropriate tests, 
provide patient education
and monitor follow-up appointments. The Nurse Practitioner will obtain 
consents, monitor pre
and post procedure status of patients; develop care plans for patients; 
document history,
orders, notes and ongoing evaluation of patients; assure quality of care 
and standards are
maintained; and serve as liaison to referring physicians and external 
transfers. S/he will assist
physicians with related duties as directed and perform other tasks as 
assigned. The
successful candidate will also provide cross coverage for the outpatient 
BMT program.

Requires Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus 
two years of
experience. Current New York State NP and RN license.

Experience in hematology and oncology; BMT strongly preferred.
