*Geriatric Nurse Practitioner/Palliative Care Program Nurse Practitioner*

This dual role entails the creation and development of programs in 
collaboration with the
attending physician and an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate 
will leverage expertise
across both areas of practice as a knowledge resource, consultant, 
educator, and cross-
functional facilitator. The Nurse Practitioner also provides appropriate 
clinical and emotional
support to patients of all ages and their families, including 
acute/chronic disease treatment,
geriatric consultation, pain management, and/or palliative care 
intervention.

/Qualifications and Requirements/
* Minimum of two years' experience in an acute care setting
* Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited school
* Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse license, Nurse Practitioner 
certification (Adult/
Geriatric or Family), and BCLS certification
* Current collaborative practice agreement

*Colorectal Nurse Practitioner*
This role works in close partnership with the supervising surgeon at 
every stage of the
patient relationship---exams, pre-/post-operative planning, diagnostics, 
triage, surgical first
assist may be required, and discharge summary dictation. The ideal 
candidate will
demonstrate procedural excellence and subject matter expertise in the 
development and
execution of care plans for patients, their families, and the hospital's 
interdisciplinary team.
Consistency, a keen interpretive eye, consummate organization skills, 
and professional
discretion are all musts.

/Qualifications and Requirements/
* Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse license and Nurse 
Practitioner certification
from an accredited school; NYS Board certification preferred
* Colorectal or general surgery experience highly preferred as well as 
expertise with pre-
and post-operative patient management in a surgical setting
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in 
addition to critical
thinking and time management; Spanish bilingual preferred
* EHR experience (NextGen preferred) and exemplary computer skills
