*Education Requirements:
Minimum:* Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
*Preferred:* Master’s Degree with gerontology or acute care specialization

*Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Minimum:* Advanced geriatric clinical expertise in acute and chronic 
health problems. Strong
problem solving/decision making skills. One-year of clinical experience 
as a nurse practitioner
managing acute and chronic complex medical issues and coordinating care 
across the
continuum.
*Preferred:* Expanded prescriptive authority for Schedule II-IV 
medications.

*Experience Requirements:
Minimum:* One-year of geriatric clinical experience as a nurse 
practitioner managing acute
and chronic complex medical issues and coordinating care across the 
continuum.
*Preferred:* One or more years of clinical practice in skilled or long 
term care settings.

*License/Certifications Requirements:
Minimum:* At time of hire Washington State RN and ARNP license, national 
certification.
Prescriptive authority, including Schedule II-IV medications. BLS/CPR 
certification.
*Preferred:* Gerontology or acute care specialization*
