*ADVANCED REGISTERED NURSE PRACTITIONER (ARNP) – INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR *

*_JOB SUMMARY:_*

The ARNP is responsible for providing and managing health care issues 
for patients. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: 
conducting history and physicals, diagnosis of health care issues, 
development of a plan of care, treatment of these issues and conducting 
mental health and drug abuse assessments.

*_EDUCATION:_*
* 2+ years as a nurse practitioner ideally in a treatment facility or 
hospital setting.
* 1 year of addiction and/or mental health experience preferred.
* Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
* Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure.
* Current CNOR/CRNFA (if applicable) certification.
* Preferred current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and 
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS provider card as required by 
department and facility.
* Eligible for hospital privileges.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

*_JOB DUTIES:_*
* Administer medications, provide vaccinations and render treatment to 
pediatric patients
* Communicate with physicians, LPNs, radiologists and other medical 
professionals
* Collaborate with physicians to create a Plan of Care for each patient
* Consider the age of the patient and his or her emotional stability 
when determining appropriate treatment
* Create and contribute to patients’ medical records as needed
* Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their 
parents or guardians
* Track and maintain medical supply inventory along with other staff 
members
* Counsel patients and family members before, during and after treatment
