Family Health Center is an established non-profit Community Health 
Center in Longview, WA, seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse 
Practitioner. We have clinics in Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, and Pacific 
counties that include Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health Services, 
for high-risk, low-income and multi-ethnic population. We pride

We are looking for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners who have a passion to 
provide quality medical and psychiatric services, including a strong 
drive to provide that care to a diverse population of patients with a 
variety of socioeconomic circumstances.  You would be responsible for 
diagnosing, prescribing medication, monitoring medication side effects 
and providing mental health treatment.  You would be a core member of a 
collaborative care team that includes the patient’s primary care 
provider, other primary care support, care coordination and the 
behavioral health staff.

*Requirements:*
* Two or more years related experience providing psychiatric nurse 
practitioner services care in a primary care outpatient setting.
* You must be licensed in WA, without restriction, probation, or 
limiting condition or threat thereof.
* Board certified or Board eligible in Psychiatric Practice
* Posses a valid unrestricted license or registration to prescribe 
medications, pharmaceuticals, and controlled substances.
* Working knowledge of the specialty mental health system structure and 
regulations
* Working knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric/psychosocial 
treatments for common mental disorders.
* Knowledge of psychopharmacology for common mental disorders
* Experience working with patients who have co-occurring mental health, 
substance abuse, and physical health problems.
* Experience working with safety net providers within the community and 
knowledge of community resources.

*Skills:*
You must possess great skills in: communication, use of computers, 
organization, and competence with electronic health records.  Bi-lingual 
in English and Spanish a plus. This position is Monday – Friday and you 
may need to travel to our other clinic locations.

FHC is looking for a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) who wants to 
make a difference and has a strong desire to provide care to a diverse 
population of patients.  BHC’s are core members of a collaborative care 
team that includes the patient’s primary care provider; a consulting 
psychiatric provider; behavioral health support staff; and primary care 
support staff. BHC’s are also responsible for coordinating referrals to 
clinically indicated services, both within and outside the primary care 
clinic (e.g., social services, mental health specialty care, substance 
abuse treatment, housing, employment, peer support).  A State of 
Washington certificate or license in one of the following is required: 
  Mental Health Counselor or Associate; Marriage and Family Therapist or 
Associate; Social Worker or Associate; certified Counselor or Associate; 
or Licensed Psychologist. Strong communication skills, verbal and 
written; familiarity with intervention techniques; and an understanding 
of psychopharmacology for common mental disorders are a must. 
Responsibilities include providing behavioral health services in a 
professional, positive, consumer-friendly, and recovery-focused manner. 
  A working knowledge of SSI/disability programs and publically funded 
mental health and substance abuse treatment structures and regulations 
are a plus.  Bi-lingual in English/Spanish desired.
