About This Opportunity:
Reading Health System* is seeking a *Nurse Practitioner* dedicated to 
acute rounding and supporting an inpatient Oncologist at *Reading 
Hospital* located in *West Reading, Pennsylvania*. The McGlinn Cancer 
Institute is nationally recognized by the Commission on Cancer of the 
American College of Surgeons as offering the very best in cancer care; 
an honor given to only one in four hospitals that treat cancer. 
Additional distinctions include an accreditation by the NAPBC which 
qualifies the institute to offer a full spectrum of interdisciplinary 
care to patients with breast disease. As a teaching hospital, rounding 
with students and residents exposes you to many fascinating cases. 
Reading Hospital is a dynamic, state of the art facility with 
professional growth opportunities for the right candidate. Monday - 
Friday schedule includes (1) late night per week and (1) Saturday per 
month.

*Duties to include:*
* Primarily working in the hospital with our dedicated inpatient 
Oncologist and Medical Assistant.
* Rounding daily on patients, with MA support, in an acute hospital 
setting with Hematologic and Oncologic disorders.
* Coordinating care and communicating with other specialists, including 
Hospitalists, Surgeons and Palliative Care physicians.
* Counseling patients and their families.
* Participation in daily conferences, tumor board and educational 
opportunities.

*Position Requirements *
Candidates must be a graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner 
program with a current CRNP license in the state of Pennsylvania. 
Experience is preferred. The ideal candidate must have a strong desire 
to work in an inpatient Oncology environment. Full-Time/Part-Time: 
Full-Time

Reading Health System is a not-for-profit healthcare center providing 
comprehensive acute care, post-acute rehabilitation, behavioral, and 
occupational health services to the people of Berks and adjoining 
counties. Established as The Reading Dispensary in 1867, the Hospital 
has since expanded into a leader in tertiary care for this region of 
Pennsylvania.

Located in scenic Berks County, Reading Health System consists of a 
22-building complex located on 36 suburban acres in West Reading. It is 
licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health for 665 acute care 
beds providing inpatient care for adults, children, and newborns.

*About the Organization*

Outpatient services of Reading Health System are extended through 
facilities located throughout the community, including 16 laboratory and 
15 imaging centers, Occupational Health Services in Muhlenberg Township, 
physician office complexes in West Reading, Exeter Township, and Spring 
Ridge. The latter campus also features a surgicenter, weight management 
center, and hyperbaric and wound care programs.
