*Required Qualifications *

Current NYS RN license. Master's degree in Nursing or completion of a 
course for Nurse Practitioner and certification as a Nurse Practitioner. 
NYS license as an adult and/or family nurse practitioner.

*Preferred Qualifications *

Experience in oncology nursing. Experience in lung cancer/pulmonary disease.

*Responsibilities & Requirements *

This position serves as a health care professional who, under the 
direction and supervision of a licensed physician, provides health care 
to patients.

Collaborate with physicians throughout the consultation process and 
provide direct medical management to patients in the Lung Cancer 
Evaluation Center (LCEC).

Serve as a resource to nursing staff and work closely with other 
hospital/departmental staff, follow-up on patients' status independently 
to ensure proper treatment.

Keep all clinical data up-to-date in the medical record.

Ensure daily charting of assessment and treatment is completed and 
dictated timely.

Communicate patient care issues clearly to the patient care team in a 
way that is beneficial to the team effort.

Quickly assist and appropriately manage emergency issues with LCEC patients.

Interpret policies to support decision making for other healthcare 
professionals, attend continuing education seminars as needed.

Other duties as assigned which may include collecting and reporting 
research data for departmental research activities.

This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible 
for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to 
occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
