*Pain Specialists of Southern Oregon*seeks to hire a Nurse Practitioner

Pain Specialists of Southern Oregon was Southern Oregon’s first 
interventional pain management practice, with specialists in both 
Anesthesiology and Physiatry. We have been serving Southern Oregon for 
over a decade and continue to be a forward thinking medical clinic. 
Medford is the largest city in the region and serves as a medical hub 
for more than 564,000 people in Southern Oregon and Northern California. 
We thrive in providing excellent medical care in a small community.

*Clinic Hours:*
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
We are closed all nights, weekends, and major holidays.

The Nurse Practitioner will work in conjunction with the physicians to 
provide healing and hope to those in our community struggling with 
chronic pain.

Activities performed during an office visit include:
* Provide excellent reliable service to patients and their families
* Obtain and records detailed patient history
* Perform physical examinations
* Order and interpret diagnostic procedures
* Make diagnostic assessments
* Prescribe interventional therapy
* Review outcomes of interventional therapy
* Stratify patients into defined risk groups
* Prescribe medications
* Educate and counsel patients on pain management, preventative care, 
and lifestyle concerns
* Refer for other specialty evaluations as needed
* Prescribe pain focused treatment plans based on patient- specific needs.
* Document encounters into electronic health record
* Select appropriate code for billing

*Experience:*2-5 years is preferred. But New Grads Welcomed

*Requirements:*Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or 
Physician Assistant Program approved by the American Medical 
Association. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart 
Association (AHA).

*Licensure:*Ability to obtain Nurse Practitioner (NP) license by Oregon 
State Board of Nursing (OSBN); or obtain Physician Assistants (PA-C) 
license by the Oregon Medical Board.
